Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. You'll receive a certificate email with the charity's EIN and donation amount. Genesee batches all pause-month donations quarterly and makes a single contribution to each partner — your email serves as your donor record.
What does $8 actually buy?
Feeding America estimates that $1 can provide 10 meals through their network. Your $8 donation provides approximately 80 meals via Feeding America's food bank network. For Wholesome Wave, $8 supplements produce prescriptions for families in food deserts.
Can I choose which charity receives my donation?
Yes. When you pause your subscription, you'll be prompted to pick from our three partners. If you skip the selection, we default to Feeding America.
Does pausing affect my Founders pricing?
No. Your founder pricing stays locked regardless of how many times you pause. This program is designed to make pausing feel good — not punishing.
