High Plains Co-Pack
SQF-certified bar manufacturing facility in Cheyenne, Wyoming — where raw bison primals become finished 12-bar Genesee boxes.
High Plains Co-Pack is a 45,000-square-foot SQF Level 3 certified food manufacturing facility located on the southern outskirts of Cheyenne. The team has been manufacturing protein bars for specialty and better-for-you brands since 2018 and was specifically selected because of their experience handling high-fat, high-tallow formulations — a category most conventional co-packers are not equipped to run.
The Genesee production line runs on Monday and Tuesday of alternating weeks. Raw bison primals arrive frozen from Wyoming Bison Co, are thawed under controlled refrigeration, blended with tallow and the SKU-specific ingredients, then pressed, cut, and wrapped on a dedicated line. Allergen protocols are strict: no soy, no wheat gluten, no peanuts on the Genesee line.
All packaging materials are sourced regionally where possible. The 12-bar outer boxes are made from 85% post-consumer recycled content and are printed with soy-based inks. High Plains runs a zero-landfill production program — all bison trimmings and packaging waste are either composted or rendered for agricultural use.
