FOR LIFTERS · POWER TO HYPERTROPHY
Post-workout fuel that's actually food.
Whey + soy isolate is what your supplement company eats. Genesee gives you 21g of milk + egg-white protein on a base of grass-finished bison tallow — real food that fits the post-workout window, the bulk-block calorie gap, and the meat-eater stack you already run.
Lifting rewards two things most commercial protein bars miss: a clean post-workout protein hit (without the bloat from soy isolate) and dense, real-food calories during a bulk. Genesee delivers both. 21g of milk + egg-white protein per bar means a complete amino profile that drops cleanly into the 30-60 minute window after your last set. Grass-finished bison tallow as the energy fat means 220 calories of dense, satiating fuel that fits a 3,500-calorie day without dragging your appetite to zero.
If you've moved away from synthetic powders and joined the ancestral / meat-eater / tonic-herbs-and-beef camp, this bar fits your stack instead of fighting it. No whey isolate that bothers your gut, no soy that nobody-actually-wants, no seed oils that the same crowd has been calling out for five years now. Coffee Latte before a 5am barbell session, White Chocolate Toffee in the gym bag for between training blocks, Snickerdoodle as the evening snack that actually satisfies you on a high-protein cut.

“I've been running ancestral / meat-eater style for a couple years and Genesee finally gave me a bar that fits the stack instead of fighting it. 21g of clean protein, no soy isolate, no seed oils, and the bison tallow keeps me full for hours. The Snickerdoodle one has saved me from cookies on more than one cut.”

Common questions from for lifters
Is Genesee a good post-workout protein bar for lifting?+
Yes — and it fits cleanly in the 30-60 minute post-set window. 21g of complete milk + egg-white protein hits a full amino profile, the ancestral fats supply sustained calories without spiking insulin, and there's zero soy isolate that bothers a lot of lifters' guts post-session.
How does it fit a bulk?+
At 220 calories per bar with 21g of complete protein and dense ancestral fats, Genesee is one of the easier ways to add real-food calories during a bulk without dragging your appetite to zero. Most of our bulking lifters eat 2-3 bars a day on top of their regular meals.
Will it work on a cut?+
Yes — same 220 cal / 21g protein math runs the other direction. The bison tallow keeps you satiated longer than a low-fat bar, and the protein density supports the muscle preservation that's the actual point of cutting. Talk to your coach for specifics, but the macros support a measured cut.
Why no whey or soy?+
We use milk + egg-white protein for a complete amino profile that's gentler on the gut than whey isolate (which a lot of lifters react to with bloat or distress). Soy is out because the ancestral / meat-eater crowd we built this for already excludes it, and the protein quality from milk + egg is just as good without the controversy.
Can I subscribe and skip during a deload?+
Yes. Subscription saves 20% and ships free, but you can pause, skip, or cancel any month from your dashboard — no phone calls, no retention scripts. Most of our lifters double up during bulk blocks and skip during a deload week.
